Systemstabilität und Fehlerverhalten im Übertragungsnetz (Viertsemesterprojekt B.Sc.)
Description of the project work
This project teaches approaches to investigate the impact of faults and dynamics in the transmission system. First, the project demonstrates how a dynamic system can be modeled and analyzed. Afterward, faults (e.g., short-circuits and power plant outages) are simulated in the transmission grid. Using the Matlab-based power system analysis toolbox MatPAT, the transmission grid’s dynamic behavior is simulated in the time-domain and also analyzed for small-signal stability. Lastly, the impact of renewable energy sources on system stability is investigated, and adequate measures are identified to improve the stability.
