Description of the lecture

The lecture Elektrizitätsversorgungssysteme I (Electric Power Systems I) provides a basic understanding of electric power systems. It is composed of an introduction regarding the structure of the European electric energy sector, which is followed by derivations of mathematical models describing generators, transformers, lines and loads. The lecture concludes with the introduction and application of methods for power system analysis including load flow and symmetrical short circuit calculations.
