Description of the lecture
The lecture takes place in the summer semester in the form of a two-day block event with subsequent tutorial session, in the winter semester as a regular lecture. The lecture provides an overview of the structure and operation of the energy transmission and distribution systems and components. The switchgear and system technology is comprehensively handled starting from the physical basics up to the economical aspects. These include the operation of the used devices, e.g. Switchgear or protective devices as well as their design and connection to the network. Furthermore, this lecture consists of the operating experience with modern systems engineering from the perspective of energy supply companies and information on valid regulations and standards.
The oral examinations are held during the lecture-free period. A sufficient selection of examination dates will be announced during the course via the learning room.
