Description of the laboratory course
This laboratory course (TÜ4) takes place every winter semester. This course is organised in a cooperation with the Institute of Electrical Machines (IEM) and the Institute of Power Electronics and Electrical Drives (ISEA).
Course contents
- Synchronous machine as motor and generator (IEM)
- Separately excited DC machine series-wound machine (IEM)
- Asynchronous machine with squirrel-cage and slip ring rotor (IEM)
- Equivalent circuits of three phase transformers (IAEW)
- Three phase transmission lines under normal and fault operation (IAEW)
- Protection against electric shock (IAEW)
- Line-commutated converters (ISEA)
- DC chopper controller (ISEA)
- Pulse-width-modulation inverter (ISEA)
- Measurement of Alternating Voltages / Breakdown measurements (IAEW)
- Generation and measurement of DC voltages (IAEW)
- Surge voltages (IAEW)
