We would like to congratulate our research assistant Maxim Müllender on receiving the Friedrich Wilhelm Prize 2022 from the Friedrich Wilhelm Foundation for his master's thesis "Target network planning of active direct current distribution networks", which was written at the IAEW.

The Friedrich Wilhelm Foundation was founded on 15 May 1865. Its aim is to promote teaching and research at RWTH Aachen University. Since 1986, part of this promotion has been the awarding of prizes for outstanding scientific achievements by students and scientists at RWTH Aachen University. For this purpose, an examination committee consisting of at least three professors is formed to award the prize to the best Master's theses, the best dissertations and the best habilitations of the individual faculties.

The Rector of RWTH Aachen University, Dr. Ulrich Rüdiger, awarded the prize.
